Transition

Life is a journey.
Here a starting point.
Up ahead the Finish Line.
Some begin with no destination in mind.
Along the way many twists and turns,
Roadblocks,
Seemingly no way around.

The road winds,
Storms, the wind and rain;
Does the sun ever shine?
Everything seems quite hopeless,
People change, no friend in sight.
Turning, changing, everything’s changing…

What about stability?
Ah! this can only be found in God!
He changes not and that’s a fact!
He sees all and knows all things
And does not fear the Change.

Our lives He’ll rearrange,
If we trust Him.Transition,
A state of being, a metamorphosis,
Caterpillar to a butterfly.
Embrace the change,
A sinner to a saint.
Do not be afraid of this.

Two scripts are writ,
One for our destruction
And one for our deliverance.
Choices, they determine our destiny.
Choose well.

There’s a light at the end.
It is undimmed by human tears.
Follow the light and not the darkness.
The light shines, the shadow appears.
Suddenly we realize that God is with us
Even in this Transition.
