The Open Door

Alexander Graham Bell was attributed with the following words…

A beautiful and divine appointment is afforded us when we turn our back on the door of this world and focus on the door that is carefully laid before us by Christ.

Jesus said in Revelation 3:8 , “I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. ”

Notice how, just as with the door Mr. Bell was speaking of, it is dependent upon us to recognize our open door. It is already open and laid before us, and when we keep the word of Christ and stand for his Name, we have access to all it offers.

Friends, today let ‘s heed the words of the apostle Paul, in Philippians 3:13 “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, ” Let ‘s take our eyes off the past and look forward to where God is leading us! It is time for revival in our personal lives!

Prayer

Dear Jesus, I am praying right now for my eyes to be open to your will for my life. Lord, help me to focus on what you have laid before me, and please you today with my life.
